i bet they had a lot of fun in that room. its cool to get a picture of bob's studio to go along with those rehearsals and jam recordings from '75 :)

keller williams recorded the song "cadillac" with bob at weir's studio for his album "dream", on which he has different guest artists on every track playing in many different configurations.

keller tells a trippy story about a ride in a cadillac with buddha driving, allah riding shotgun, santa claus and hare krishna in the back seat with jesus in the bitch seat.

bob contributes some nice rhythm-melody guitar and vocals.

It looks a lot like the 1980 acoustic-sets setup actually, except that Keith's there and they're wearing headphones... Must've been trying to record an instrumental track.
Can anyone pin down an approximate date by Jerry & Phil's beards? Must be pre-'75 since no Mickey Hart.

My guess is, near the end of '74.... In '73, as far as I know, no beard on Phil; then in spring/summer '74 when they were recording Mars, Jerry was clean-shaven & Phil had a beard; but by the time of the farewell Winterland shows they were both bearded. I think Phil cut it off again in '75, when in any case, Mickey Hart would've been with them.

I was following them consistently from 72 thru 82, and the only time I recall seeing Phil with a beard was 74...he rarely had one during that time as near as I can recall...have pics of him from 70, 71, 72, 74 (beard), 75, 76, and only the one from 74 has the beard...

But, these are just a total of about 10 shots from concerts, and he could've grown and cut in between...
